STERLING, Colo.(Sept. 19, 2023) -- At about 8:34 a.m.,  a truck-trailer driven by a 63-year-old Sterling man was westbound on U.S. 6 just outside of Sterling when it collided with a  storage lot at U.S. Highway 6 and Koshia Way.

According to Master Trooper Gary Cutler, Colorado State Patrol Public Affairs, the driver doesn't remember what happened at the time of the accident. He was taken to Sterling Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver was cited in the accident.

The truck collided with four vehicles parked in the storage lot, and power lines. The downed power lines resulted in closing of U.S. Highway 6. 

The name of the driver was not made available.
