IMPERIAL - The Sidney Lady Raiders used a solid performance Tuesday night to defeat the Chase County Longhorns in Imperial, securing a straight-set victory. From the very beginning, Sidney set the tone for the night, leaping to a 6-0 lead to open the first set.

Sidney was in control most of the night as the Lady Raiders rarely trailed on their way to a 25-23, 25-18, 25-14 win. With the win, Sidney improves to 9-3 with a busy week of volleyball ahead.

Karsyn Leeling led the charge for the Lady Raiders with an outstanding performance, amassing 18 kills, 4 blocks, and 7 digs. Carli Black contributed eight kills to the effort, while Payton Schrotberger and Chloe Ahrens added four kills each.

Looking ahead, Sidney will host Gering and Mitchell in a triangular at the Cabela's Athletic Facility on Thursday. The Lady Raiders will face off against Mitchell at 4:00 p.m., followed by Gering taking on Mitchell at 5:00 p.m. The evening will culminate with Sidney squaring off against Gering at 6:00 p.m. Sidney will round out their week at the Aurora Invitational Volleyball Tournament on Saturday.
