Conservative AI Chatbot For iOS & Android: Mobile ChatGPT Alternative Launched
TUSK has announced the availability of Gippr AI on iOS and Android devices through its TUSK browser, which can be downloaded at no cost for both operating systems. The chatbot is powered by generative AI and shares many similarities with popular language model-based chatbots like ChatGPT, but without the left-leaning bias.

The development of Gippr AI was spearheaded by Virtual World Computing, LLC, in response to the liberal bias displayed by emerging AI tools, as reported by many users. Earlier this year, a team of researchers in the UK discovered that ChatGPT’s responses displayed “significant and systematic political bias” toward left-leaning political parties.
Virtual World Computing expressed its concern regarding the trajectory generative AI is taking. “In just a few months, generative AI has transformed the workforce and education and will continue to do so as more advancements in the field are made,” a spokesperson from the company said. “However, it seems we are headed toward a future dictated by a singular belief, and this is why the success of TUSK and Gippr AI is non-negotiable.”
Gippr AI was designed by a San Francisco-based AI startup specializing in safety and ethical application. Unlike other chatbots that collect user data for training, Gippr AI was purpose-built for conversation solely, making it ideal for users concerned about privacy, security, and tracking.
The same level of safety is available on the TUSK browser and TUSK Search, both of which were the result of modifications to open-source code bases. TUSK Search, for instance, was built using Chromium, making it compatible with most Chrome extensions, but with tracking capabilities removed.
Gippr AI is the latest in a series of tools developed by Virtual World Computing, a tech company established by free speech advocate and entrepreneur Jeff Bermant. TUSK is not Mr. Bermant’s first foray into privacy-first software development, as he also developed Cocoon VPN and the private browser Cocoon MDR.
