Leyton sweeps home triangular, finishes regular season with 25 wins

DALTON - Leyton's volleyball team swept the night beating both Garden County and South Platte in two sets and fish the regular season 25-5 in Dalton Tuesday night.
The Warriors were led by senior Trinity Beutler who ended the night with 12 kills and three ace serves.
Junior Zaili Benish added five of her own kills with four ace serves and led the team with 20 assists.
Senior Claire Watchorn led the team in blocks totaling up three and adding seven kills.
Leyton totaled up 44 kills, 14 ace serves, four blocks and 36 assists through the two games. The Warriors end the regular season with a 25-5 record and will await to see who they play first round in sub-district play.
Garden County split on the night beating South Platte in three sets and falling to the Warriors in two.
The Eagles were led by freshman Kirstyn Beberniss who ended the night with six kills, 4 ace serves, and 13 assists. Junior Payton Fornander added four of her own kills and led Garden County in blocks with five through the two matches.
The Eagles finished the two games with 27 kills, eight ace serves, six blocks, and 26 assists. Garden County finishes the season 13-17 and will wait to see who they play on in sub-districts.
South Platte goes 0-2 on the night. The Blue Knights were led by junior Zaerihya Doncheske who ended the night with 10 kills and a block.
Senior Madison Cheleen added eight of her own kills, 4 blocks, 3 ace serves, and 16 assists.
South Platte ended the night with a total of 34 kills, 9 blocks and ace serves, and 21 assists. The Knights finish their season 11-18 and will play their next game in the first round of sub-districts.
