Karen K. Herboldsheimer
Karen K. Herboldsheimer, age 81, of Potter, NE, passed away in Potter on Thursday, November 2, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Sidney, NE with Pastor Warren Cico officiating. Burial will follow at Potter Cemetery in Potter, NE. Services will be livestreamed on the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel Facebook page and recorded for later viewing on our website.
Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Friday from 1-6:00 P.M. with family present from 4-6:00 P.M. to leave condolences for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Potter Museum Board or the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Sidney.

Karen Herboldsheimer was born on June 24, 1942 to John and Evelyn (Moseman) DeMers in Sunol, NE. She graduated from Sunol School in 1960. She attended Nebraska State Teachers College at Kearney for 2 ½ years.
She married John Herboldsheimer of Potter on April 21, 1963. They lived in Memphis, TN and San Diego while John served in the Navy. After getting out of the Navy in 1966, the family, which now included son Bryan, moved to Colorado. There they welcomed another son, Brett. Karen helped run the family businesses which included an auto parts store and a construction company and was involved in FBLA. She was at her best while helping others. She loved to dote on her grandchildren and would do anything for them. Karen and John moved back to Potter in 2012 to be closer to their grandchildren. Karen served on the Potter Museum Board and was a reading volunteer for South Elementary. Karen loved painting and she was an excellent cook! She also loved to cultivate her potted plants and flower gardens.
She is survived by son Bryan and wife Laurie of Potter, NE; son Brett and wife Traci of Franktown, CO; 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; mother Evelyn DeMers of Sidney, NE; sister Kathleen DeMers of Parker, CO; brother Rick DeMers of Riverton, UT; sister-in-law Coral Rapp of Sidney, NE and many other family members.
