Norgards shift focus to Boss City Brewing Co.

SIDNEY -- After serving as a beloved staple in the heart of downtown for more than 10 years, Sam & Louie's Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria is bidding a fond farewell to its downtown Sidney location.

But as one chapter comes to a close, another one opens, bringing a fresh wave of excitement to the downtown area. Beginning in the new year, the space currently occupied by Sam & Louie's will undergo a vibrant transformation as Savor and Grace, a new local business, takes its place.

"We've had an incredible journey serving our loyal customers here at Sam & Louie's," said the Norgards. "It's with mixed emotions that we announce the closure of Sam & Louie’s, but we're shifting our focus to the expansion and growth of Boss City Brewing Co. at our new location at 1200 Jackson St. We couldn't be happier to have Jill (Sauder) and Savor and Grace join the downtown scene, bringing their unique and delicious offerings.”

Sam & Louie's has been known not only for its delicious menu but also for its warm and inviting atmosphere. As the restaurant prepares to say goodbye to its location, loyal patrons are invited to visit Sam & Louie's in the final month to relish in their favorite dishes and celebrate the cherished memories made within its walls. The last day Sam & Louie’s will be open will be December 30. Meanwhile, the transition to Savor and Grace promises to infuse new energy into downtown Sidney.

Sauder is the creative mind behind Savor and Grace. Savor and Grace, a cheese shop, opened March 11, 2023 on the far west end of town. With the love and support of the amazing people in this city, we quickly outgrew the sweet little building we started in. We have enjoyed sharing cheese from around the globe and creating beautiful graze boxes for our community.

"We are so excited to be where the people are! This move will allow us to better serve our wonderful customers by expanding our menu, hours, and being centrally located in historic downtown Sidney. We hope to meet many new faces and serve up some yummy salads and sandwiches, while continuing to share our love of cheese with our graze boxes and cheese pairings,” she said.
