Cattlemen's Ball returns to Panhandle

The annual Cattlemen's Ball will be held in Scotts Bluff County this year.
This is the 26th year of the fundraiser event generating funds for cancer research.
"The Cattlemen's Ball is an annual fundraiser. This will be the 26th year. It's a fundraiser to raise funds for cancer research. 100 percent of the proceeds from the ball all go to funding research; 90 percent of those funds head to the Fred and Pamela Buffet Cancer Center, which goes to research to find a cure," said Regina Narjes.
Narjes is on the Promotions Committee for the 2024 Cattlemen's Ball. She said proceeds from the weekend event supports research of life-saving technology and people in their fight against cancer.
"The Ball is going to be back here in the Panhandle, on June 7th and 8th. It's a Friday night and a Saturday night event and it's a pretty big deal because it hasn't been hosted in the Panhandle since 2014, so almost 10 years. The last several years have been on the eastern side of the state, so we're super excited to have it back in the Panhandle. In fact, we have people from all across the Panhandle helping out, volunteering, spending lots of time gearing up for next year's event," she said.
The 2024 event will be hosted by Scott and Kristin Schiff. Tickets are available at https://cattlemensball.com/scottsbluffcounty2024/
About The Cattlemen's Ball: The Cattlemen’s Ball has become one of the Midwest’s premier events, raising millions of dollars for cancer research. Since the inaugural event in 1998, the Cattlemen’s Ball has raised more than $19 million to fund cancer research. Ninety percent of the proceeds go to the Cancer Center and the remaining 10% is returned to the local community for health and wellness initiatives. Held in a different and unique location each year, the Cattlemen’s Ball gives host communities the opportunity to showcase their area of the state. Hundreds of volunteers, donors, patrons and friends come together for one unforgettable weekend in June when thousands of guests attend the Ball under the big top tents, beneath the stars.
