'Calf for a Cure' part of 2024 Cattlemen's Ball

SCOTTS BLUFF COUNTY -- The Cattlemen's Ball will be held in Scotts Bluff County near Minatare in 2024.
The event will include opportunities for people to support the cause even if they cannot attend.
Regina Narjes, who is a member of the Cattlemen's Ball Promotion Committee, set to be held near Minatare, will have many ways to support cancer research, even if not attending the event.
"Another really great thing that's going on with the Cattlemen's Ball is 'Calf for a Cure.' It's a pent-up cow that's being fed at a feedlot not far from Scottsbluff. You can sponsor feed for a calf or you can buy the calf. So that's another neat way to help the event be successful. If you can't attend the Ball or don't want to buy tickets you can definitely help fund a calf in a feedlot," said Regina Narjes.
The funds from the pen, once they're completely fed out, will go back to the Cattlemen's Ball initiatives, she said.
"It's open to everybody. You don't have to be a cattleman. Anyone can attend. You don't have to wear a Ball gown either. This is our 26th year, and it's been 10 years since we've been in the Panhandle," Narjes said.
