Two children missing from Sterling, Colo found in Oklahoma

KIMBALL -- An alert store clerk in Kimball tipped off authorities, leading to the recovery of two children missing from Sterling, Colo.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigations announced this afternoon they were looking for two children missing from Sterling and believed to be with a woman by the name of Justina Lambert. A social media profile shows she is from Alaska.
Four-year-old Zuryah Thalacker and 23-month-old Ansom Thalacker had been missing since yesterday about 1:30 p.m. December 27.
They were last seen near the intersection of Platte Street and King Court in Sterling, CO. According to a bulletin issued by the Colorado Bureau of Investigations, Lambert was believed to have been driving a 2007 White Nissan Murano with California license plate 9ERA912 with a missing rear bumper.
This afternoon, Kimball Police Sgt. Boza reported Lambert interacted with a store clerk in Kimball. After Lambert left the store, the clerk called authorities. Lambert and the children were contacted in Oklahoma.
Investigators located Lambert and the children in Enid, Okla., where they were found to be safe and are now in the custody of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services.
