Hometown Liquor, customers, show support for Potter-Dix Booster Club
SIDNEY -- Hometown Liquor wrapped up the 2023 year offering customers the opportunity to support the Potter-Dix Booster Club.
The Potter-Dix Booster Club received $1,713 from the ownership and customers of Hometown Liquor. A total of 2,471 contributions were made for the Potter-Dix Schools Athletic Booster Club, for a total of $1,212.80. The Hometown Liquor ownership topped off the donation to $1,713.
The business' Round Up program allows customers to round up their purchase with the additional amount donated to a specific program or charity.
For December, customers had the opportunity to round up in support of the Potter-Dix Booster Club.
"These funds are going into our General Fund which we use for snacks for the kids elementary, middle and high school for all of the different events, including sports, speech, different organizations throughout the whole school," said Melanie Rotert who accepted the check today for the Potter-Dix Booster Club.
Each month, Hometown Liquor customers have the opportunity the round up their purchases to the nearest dollar, or more, to support a local cause. In addition, Hometown Liquor adds $500 to the donation.
For January, the Round Up program supports the Sidney Legion Baseball program.
