Area law enforcement are asking for help finding a distinctive white box truck today. The truck and two unidentified people have been seen on security cameras stealing gas from area stations.

The latest incident occurred early on the morning of January 26th in Kimball. The two subjects pulled into the Frenchmen Valley Coop gas station on South Chestnut St about 1:30 a.m. That is where they took over $1000 of fuel without paying and then drove away. No details have been released on how the fuel was taken. Right now, the box truck is the only vehicle police are looking for.

Chief Jose Ruiz of the Kimball Police Department says this theft is similar to the those that were committed in Dundy County in early January. Dundy County Sheriff's reported an arrest in that case where over $3000 worth of gas was taken and stored in chemical totes on a similar white box truck.

The photographs above are from the Chappell FVC, which was also a victim of this crime on January 24th. Anyone with information on the theft, the vehicle, or the subjects is asked to call the Kimball Police Department at 308-235-3608.
