Robinson advised of charges in vehicle theft, assault
SIDNEY -- Nathan J. Robinson, 23, of Sidney, appeared before the Hon. Judge Randin R. Roland 2:47 p.m. January 31 to be advised of charges related to an incident where an elderly woman was injured in Sidney and her car stolen.
He was arrested January 23 in Canon City, Colo., after Sidney Police issued a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) for Robinson and the stolen car. He was held in Fremont County Jail until extradited back to Cheyenne County.
Sidney Police obtained the warrant for Robinson on January 18. The 84-year-old victim was taken to Sidney Regional Medical Center where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released.
On January 31, he was advised of charges including Class 2 Felony Robbery, Class 2A Felony Theft - shoplifting $5,000 or more and Class 3A Felony Abuse of a Vulnerable Adult.
He was issued a $100,000 bond. A Status of Waiver of Preliminary Hearing will be held 8:15 a.m. February 12 in Cheyenne County Court.
