Truck collides with semi-tractor-trailer, killing driver in Lincoln County

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The Nebraska State Patrol is investigating a crash that claimed a life in Lincoln County on Monday.

Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 23 near Wallace around 1 p.m. They found a Ford F-150 and a semi-truck that had collided.

Authorities say the westbound Ford crossed the centerline into oncoming traffic. The eastbound semi-truck tried driving on the shoulder to avoid a crash but to no avail.

The Ford’s driver, 73-year-old James Armbruster, of Wauneta, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was uninjured.
