Three student from Kimball Jr./Sr. High School arrived at school Wednesday morning a little slower than they usually do. Eighth grader Lane Cook, Sophomore Nolan Cook and Senior Grace Anderson celebrated the Future Farmers of America's "Drive Your Tractor to School Day". The day comes as part of National FFA week, a week where FFA chapters across the country take part in activities aimed at drawing attention to the benefits of becoming an FFA member.

The 14, 16 and 18 year-olds left TB Cook Farms this morning at about 7:00 am, making their way down the Hwy 71 Bypass before reaching Kimball and eventually parking their tractors on the front lawn at Kimball Jr./Sr. High School. The trip took the FFA members less than an hour to complete.

A national event for decades, "Drive Your Tractor to School Day" is in its third year as a Kimball FFA chapter event.

The three students will drive the tractors back to the farm Wednesday afternoon.
