WESTERN NEBRASKA -- The Public Alliance for Community Energy wants communities to show their pride of projects completed with the support of ACE funds.
The ACE revenue return program helped Chappell make Thompson Park safer and more accessible. The old rubber ground cover had become a tripping hazard and was replaced. The park also received new amenities such as benches, trash cans and sidewalk around the perimeter that meets ADA standards. Looks like there will be plenty of fun to be had for many seasons to come.
To vote for your favorite project(s), show them your appreciation. Each photo you LIKE gets one vote. Each photo you LOVE will receive two votes. Voting ends March 11.
Through the program, the ACE board of directors may vote to return revenue to its member communities. The board approved the distribution at its January board meeting. Since forming in 1998, ACE has returned nearly $4 million to its Nebraska member communities. The funds are used in various ways to benefit each ACE member community, including helping fund community recreational projects, community swimming pools and park improvements.
ACE was formed more than 25 years ago by Nebraska communities to provide competition in the Nebraska Choice Gas program while retaining local control. It also provides advocacy for Choice Gas customers and strives to keep revenue in Nebraska's ACE membership communities.
