PANHANDLE -- Travel conditions on area roads are challenging at best with the latest of spring storms lingering.

U.S. Highway 30 and Interstate 80 are closed from Sidney east.

Early this morning the Nebraska Department of Transportation reported Interstate 80 and U.S. Highway 30 closed east from Sidney. The eastbound closure on I-80 stretches from Sidney to 32 miles east of North Platte as of 5:15 a.m. today. I-80 westbound is closed from Kearney to 19 miles east of Ogallala.

Creek Valley public schools suspend classes today due to weather.

The school district administration announced March 7 due to continued poor travel conditions and for the safety of our students, parents, and staff, Creek Valley Schools and Creek Valley Early Learning Centers will be canceling class today. Classes will resume on Tuesday, March 12.
