MORRILL COUNTY -- At about 3:30 p.m. today, Chimney Rock Public Power District officials announced it is aware of 150 to 200 poles down across the system with the largest share of them south and west of McGrew.

Residents who are served from this area are cautioned that crews may not have the entire circuit restored before Tuesday, possibly Wednesday. Residents are encouraged to make arrangements accordingly.

CRPPD has contacted mutual-aid crews from other power districts. However, they will not be in Morrill County until Monday.

Transmission problems are delaying restoration times. CRPPD  expects some improvement and is patrolling the area for what lines can be safely re-energized.

If you encounter a downed pole or wire, stay away from it and report it to 308-586-1824!
