CHEYENNE COUNTY -- Wheat Belt and linemen returned to the fields this morning to repair more lines and restore electric service.

Work continues south of Interstate 80.

As of the end of the day, Friday, April12, 152 residential accounts remain without power. Mutual aid is here in full force and Wheat Belt has crews working all throughout the district at this point.

Overall, there are 588 accounts without power, down from high of about 1,500 accounts without power.

"Progress is being made, it just doesn't seem to be fast enough, especially if you are still at home without power. If you see one of our crews in the field, at the gas station or a restaurant be sure to thank them for all they are doing for the community. We appreciate our linemen," said Kelli Chaon, Wheat Belt Public Power District Customer Engagement Manager.
