Sidney High School sends off class of 2024

Sidney High School seniors entered the building as seniors and left as 2024 graduates Saturday, May 18.

SIDNEY -- They entered as students and left as graduates.

School district staff and administration, friends and family packed the Sidney High School gymnasium for the 2024 Commencement ceremony Saturday, May 18.

The ceremony started with a slide show of the seniors. Following the slide show, the senior class entered the gymnasium with the playing of Pomp & Circumstance.

Sidney State of Mind played the National Anthem. 

Superintendent Andrew Farber provided the welcome address, followed by the recognition of the Salutatorian Ty Keith Grunig. Sidney High School Principal Ryan Plummer presented Academic Awards and Military Recognitions.

Sidney State of Mind performed "Breaking Free," arranged by Roger Emerson. Luke Otto Uhlir was recognized as Class Valedictorian. Presentation of the class was done by Class President Ty Keith Grunig and Vice-President Johnathan Meza.

School Board President Mike Palmer presented diplomas, followed by the graduates exiting the room to Pomp & Circumstance.
