Kimball -- Three Kimball High School students competed in the State Track Meet last weekend, finishing off their season.

Addy Olson placed third in High Jump at the State Track Meet going 5’3’’, tying her personal record.

Trevor Fuss and Peter Russell competed in Pole Vaulting. Fuss finished ninth place at 12’ 6’’. Russell finished at 12’ landing him in twelfth place.

"The boys didn't compete as well as they had hoped for," says High School Track Head Coach Tiffany Johnson. "They spend so much time practicing, watching videos and talking about things they need to improve on."

During the meet, the boys started vaulting in one direction, but due to the wind, they changed directions. Unfortunately, the boys just didn't get back in the groove after the switch.

Johnson says: "We are so proud of each and every one of the athletes. They all worked hard all season and were willing to try new things. Addy, Trevor, and Peter put in tons of time and work to master their crafty to give themselves the best chance to make it to state. They really focused in and had goals of where they wanted to be."
