Honor and Remember Memorial Day Service held in Sidney

American Legion Post No. 17, DAV Chapter 40 and the VFW Post No. 610 host an Honor and Remember Memorial Day Service was held at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sidney on Monday.

SIDNEY - American Legion Post No. 17, DAV Chapter 40 and the VFW Post No. 610 host an Honor and Remember Memorial Day Service was held at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sidney on Monday.

Local performers and speakers took part in the annual event. 

Sidney High School graduate Ty Grunig sang the National Anthem; Peter Morgan, GySgt, USMC, Retired, gave the invocation; and Larry Nelson, Colonel, USAR retired was the key note speaker.

Jan Gusman had the honor of laying the wreath; MSG Les Larson, US Army National Guard, Retired, lead the Color Guard; and Sidney High School student David Brauer played the call TAPS.

American Legion Post No. 103 held Memorial Day Services at the Dalton Cemetery on Monday morning.
