SIDNEY - The Sidney and Greater Area Fund (SAGA) announces its collaboration with the Cheyenne County 4-H to support summer workshops.

SAGA's $2,000 donation will contribute to the expansion and enrichment of the 4-H summer programs, providing local youth with invaluable opportunities for personal growth, skill development, and community engagement.

The Cheyenne County 4-H's summer workshops serve as a platform for youth to explore their interests, values, and talents while participating in a variety of hands-on activities. These workshops offer much more than mere entertainment. They foster personal connections, enhance social skills, and promote self-confidence among participants.

"We are delighted to partner with the Cheyenne County 4-H in their efforts to empower local youth through engaging and enriching summer workshops," said Melissa Norgard, Chairperson of the Sidney and Greater Area Fund Advisory Committee. "By providing financial assistance for program development, we aim to ensure that every child has access to high-quality educational experiences that promote personal and professional growth."

Under the leadership of Cassie Challburg, the 4-H council will lead the planning and execution of summer workshops, encompassing a range of projects and activities. From resin paintings to bird houses, these workshops will offer participants the opportunity to explore their creativity and develop new skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.

"The support from SAGA will allow us to expand our summer programs and reach even more children in our community," stated Cassie Challburg, representative of the Cheyenne County 4-H. "Through these workshops, we aim to demonstrate that 4-H is not just about animals; it's about providing diverse opportunities for youth to learn, grow, and thrive."

The measurable outcomes of these workshops are far-reaching, encompassing personal growth, networking opportunities, community engagement, self-expression, leadership development, and real-world applications. By investing in the development of local youth, SAGA and the Cheyenne County 4-H are laying the foundation for a brighter and more prosperous future for our community.
