Cheyenne County Rotary Club hosting 'Cornhole Showdown' at Gold Rush Days

SIDNEY -- New to Gold Rush Days this year is a fun cornhole tournament.

The tournament is sponsored by the Cheyenne County Rotary Club with proceeds supporting bus passes for 2024-2025 Sidney Public Schools students. The tournament will be held Saturday, June 8 at Legion Park.

All boards will be set for adult court measurements. 30-minute time allowance per game.
Cornhole boards provided for the tournament are loaned to the Rotary Club for the event; the surfaces may not be the same on each set.

The tournament will be structured with double-elimination and a maximum of 32 teams. Pre-registration will be accepted until June 4. Pre-registration costs is $20 per team; $25 (cash only) the day of the tournament. Pre-register and receive one complimentary entry into the Sidney Gold Rush Days raffle.

Check-in is 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., rule review at 11:45 a.m. and Round 1 starts at noon. 

Snacks and bottled water will be available at the check-in table; cash only.
