Services planned for teenager who passed away from injuries suffered in May vehicle accident

DEUEL COUNTY - A second person involved in a fatal accident in Deuel County in May passed away last week.
A Celebration of Life for Owen Max Foster, 15, of Big Springs, will be held at 10 a.m. on Sept. 7 at the South Platte High School Auditorium
Foster was involved a two-vehicle accident on County Road 195, about one mile north of Highway 30, at approximately 5:20 p.m. on May 18. According to the Nebraska State Patrol, the accident involved a Dodge Durango and a Volkswagen Passat. The driver of the Volkswagen, Bryer Wilson, 16, of Ogallala, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Foster was flown by medical helicopter to Children's Hospital in Aurora, Colo. where he passed away on Aug. 22.
Foster just finished his freshman year at South Platte High School. He was involved in the Pride of the Plains 4-H Club, South Platte Shooters 4-H Trap and the Deuel County Shooters.
Todd Lanman will be officiating Foster's service. A memorial has been established in Owen’s name.
