SIDNEY - With the cross country season drawing to a close, Sidney High School is preparing for the district meet at Crandall Creek Golf Course in Ogallala on Oct. 17.

Head Coach Donna Wiedeburg is excited about what the team has achieved this season and looks forward to the Sidney Invite on Thursday, which will celebrate the season’s accomplishments.

"It’s always a fun event, with ice cream trucks and a DJ, but for many, it marks the end of the season," Wiedeburg said, reflecting on the bittersweet nature of the final regular season meet. "I hope they leave with a sense of accomplishment."
