Scottsbluff secures senior night victory over Bridgeport in four sets
SCOTTSBLUFF – The Scottsbluff High School volleyball team delivered a senior night victory over Bridgeport in four sets on Tuesday night in Scottsbluff.
Senior Emma Hergenreder led the charge with a match-high 18 kills, 3 ace serves and 2 blocks. Fellow senior Margo Bowles contributed 9 kills, 5 blocks and 3 ace serves; and senior Peyton May added 5 kills, a block and an ace. Sophomore Mia Bowles tallied 5 kills and 2 ace serves to round out the night for the Bearcats
Scottsbluff finished the night with 45 kills, 11 ace serves and 10 blocks.
The Bulldogs were led by junior Jailyn Nichols with 17 kills and 2 blocks. Senior Tacey From added 9 kills, 2 blocks and an ace serve; and senior Aubrey Watts racked up 36 assists along with 4 kills and an ace serve.
Bridgeport finished with 42 kills, 6 blocks and 3 ace serves.
With the victory, Scottsbluff improves to 10-15 on the season and will prepare for the Western Conference Tournament, where they face off against Sidney in the opening round.
Bridgeport drops to 16-8 and will host Mitchell on Thursday.
