SIDNEY -- Kindergarten students at Central Elementary School had an election of their own, voting on how to celebrate their accomplishments.
SIDNEY -- While adults were casting their votes for referendums and office candidates, kindergarten students at Central Elementary School were voting for how to celebrate the number of "Brag Tags" earned.
Students walked from their classroom to the entryway where it was set up as a voting precinct with a check-in table and voting booths to the right. Students were instructed how to use the ballot, using a voting booth fashioned space.
The students earned more than 15,000 "Brag Tags," and were allowed to choose, vote on, how they will celebrate the accomplishment: a popcorn party, a pajama party or an extra recess period
