RUSHVILLE, Neb. - A Rushville First grader had quite the surprise Thursday afternoon. Six-year-old Lacie Reeves’ entry, “Pete the Plow," was selected as the winning name in the Nebraska Department of Transportation’s (NDOT) District 5 Name-A-Snowplow contest.

The statewide contest invited students from kindergarten through 6th grade to submit creative names for the snowplows, with NDOT choosing two winners from each of its eight districts.
