CHAPPELL -- The order to boil tap water in Chappell has been lifted.
The notice was published earlier today, December 11.
The City of Chappell public water supply system was in violation of drinking water standards for E. coli. On December 5, customers were advised to boil water or use bottled water.
City officials reported today the contamination contamination has been corrected. Water samples have been submitted and the results are total coliform and E. coli negative. Residents no longer need to boil water or use bottled water.
