Adam Lee Haselgren
Adam Lee Haselgren, age 48 of Tulsa, OK passed away on December 12, 2024.
A celebration of life will be held at Albert G's in Tulsa, OK on January 24, 2025 at 6:00 pm. Cremation has taken place with Gary Kelley Add'Vantage Funeral Service of Tulsa, OK and inurnment will follow at a later date at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetary in Wheat Ridge, CO.
Adam was born on May 25, 1976, in Denver, CO, and spent his childhood in Broomfield, CO. In 1991, he moved to Sidney, NE, and graduated from Sidney High School in May 1994. He attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney to begin the pursuit of his lifelong
dream of becoming a lawyer. In May 2004, that dream became reality when Adam graduated from Tulsa University Law School. After passing the bar, he began his career with the Tulsa County Public Defender's Office. Although Adam could have practiced any kind of law, he was adamant about providing public defense for clients who needed legal assistance. He continued to defend his clients with skill and passion throughout his career. Adam was highly regarded and respected for his knowledge, devotion, and compassion by everyone in Tulsa's judicial system on both sides of the aisle.
Adam grew up fishing and camping in the Colorado Rockies, which he loved. He also had a love of 80's music, sports cars, the Miami Dolphins, CU Buffs, the Colorado Rockies, and his friends and family. He was known throughout his life for his charismatic personality, clown-like humor, legendary hugs, infectious smile, and for the love, support, and uplifting guidance and advice he shared with everyone he met.
He is survived by his father, Gerald Haselgren (Wendy) of Arvada, CO; mother Teresa Rood (Dean) of Sidney, NE; brother Todd Haselgren (Nancy) of Tulsa, OK; sister Shannon Smelley (Steve) of Sidney, NE; brother Jesse Rood of Sidney, NE; sister Kari Rood of Chandler, AZ; sister Dana Dailey of Arvada, CO; niece Ireland Smelley of Lincoln, NE; nephew Anderson Smelley of Sidney, NE; special friends, Lora Howard, Dustin Allen, and Mark Mason; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and colleagues.
He is preceded in death by all of his grandparents and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Any memorials may be directed to the family for future contribution to a scholarship being established; The Adam Haselgren Memorial Scholarship at Tulsa University Law to be awarded to a law student who is committed to public defense.
