GORDON, Neb. - A 59-year-old Gordon man has reached a plea agreement in a child pornography case. Robert Amiotte-Hedley will plead no contest to two felony charges: Distribution Visual Depiction Sexually Explicit Conduct of Child and Possess Visual Depiction Sexually Explicit Conduct of Child. As part of the agreement, the State will dismiss six additional charges.

According to an arrest affidavit, Amiotte-Hedley admitted to a Gordon police officer to having a couple hundred pictures on his phone of children performing sexual acts. The children allegedly ranged in age from infants to teens.

The affidavit states: “I then asked Robert Amiotte-Hedley how many photos he had on his phone and what were the ages of the children, and if they were performing sexual acts. To which he admitted to a couple hundred photos and that the ages were from infant to teenagers, and that they were performing sexual acts.”

One of the counts Amiotte-Hedley pled no contest to has a mandatory minimum sentence of three years in prison, with a maximum of 50 years. The second count does not have a mandatory minimum but carries a maximum sentence of 20 years.

Sentencing will be held at a later date.
