Kimball school teacher arrested on felony child abuse charges

KIMBALL, Neb. - Justin J. Mohr, a special education teacher at Mary Lynch Elementary School, was arrested Tuesday, February 11, on charges of child abuse at the Kimball elementary school.
Kimball Police Chief Jose Ruiz says Mohr was arrested on a charge of Felony Child Abuse. The matter is now in the hands of the judicial system. He added the incident did take place on school grounds and the investigation will continue to make sure it was an isolated incident.
Mohr, a 2015 graduate of Kimball Jr./Sr. High School, served as prom king that year. He has no previous arrest record; however, his disciplinary record at the school is not public record.
Kimball Public Schools Superintendent Trevor Anderson declined comment on Mohr's current employment status, but he did say, "we will continue to work closely with Chief Ruiz at the Kimball Police Department and Sheriff Hotell at the Kimball County Sheriff's Office to ensure Kimball Public Schools is providing a safe and secure environment for all students and staff going forward."
