Peru State College Announces New Head Volleyball Coach

PERU, NE - Peru State Athletics announces the hiring of Caleb Bonaventure to take over the Bobcat Volleyball program.
Bonaventure most recently served as the Assistant Women's Volleyball coach at William Woods University where he won American Midwest Conference (AMC) Assistant Coach of the Year last season. While with the Owls, he helped lead the team to back-to-back 24+ win seasons and conference tournament appearances. Additionally, the volleyball program produced 15 NAIA Daktronics Scholar Athletes, 14 All-Conference Awards and multiple CSC All-District and AVC All-Region Awards.
Prior to WWU, Coach Bonaventure was the Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach at Nationally Ranked and fellow Heart of American competitor, Central Methodist University. In his time at CMU, he helped lead the Eagles varsity team to back-to-back Heart of America Conference and National Tournament appearances while having 14 All-Conference Award winners and 30 NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Additionally, he was the Head Coach of their Varsity Reserve team, developing them into varsity athletes.
Additional experience for Coach has been as an assistant at Cumberland University, where he helped coordinate fundraising campaigns and helped with gameday operations. As an assistant for the Men's Volleyball team at Greenville University, Coach Bonaventure helped coordinate fundraising campaigns, recruitment and character development of athletes. He has also worked as the head coach of multiple clubs throughout his coaching career.

Bonaventure received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree from Emmanuel College where he was a four-year starter and three-year captain for their Men's Volleyball Team. He completed his Master of Arts in Education with a Concentration in Coaching at Greenville University. Coach Bonaventure will start immediately.
