Scottsbluff wins team titles at home invite, Western Conference

Scottsbluff swept the team and individual titles at Tuesday’s Scottsbluff Invitational and Western Conference girls golf tournaments.

SCOTTSBLUFF – Scottsbluff High School captured both the team and individual championships Tuesday at the Scottsbluff Girls Golf Invitational and Western Conference Tournament, held at Scottsbluff Country Club.

The Bearcats posted a team score of 73-over-par to secure the top spot in both events. McCook finished runner-up in the invitational at +114, while Sidney and York tied for third at +122. In the Western Conference standings, Sidney placed second, followed by Gering (+148), Chadron (+149) and Alliance (+165).

Scottsbluff senior Addie Peck earned medalist honors, edging Mitchell’s Kaidyn Patterson in a playoff after both shot 82. Teammate Elliot Selzer placed third overall with an 86.

Other top-10 finishes at the invitational included York’s Ashlyn Walz (86), McCook’s Kapri Loop (92), Alliance’s Ryley Norris (92), and York’s Josie Rauert (95).

Sidney’s Josette McConnell tied for 13th with a 99, while teammate Eden Jordan added a 100. Chadron’s Emmerson Landreth shot 102.

In Western Conference play, Peck and Selzer finished first and second, respectively, with Norris taking third at 92. Sidney had two golfers in the top 10—McConnell (99) and Jordan (100)—while Chadron was led by Landreth (102) and Reese Ritterbush (102).
