Leyton stays unbeaten with 71-21 win over Creek Valley

CHAPPELL – Leyton opened the game with touchdowns on its first four possessions and never looked back in a 71-21 victory over Creek Valley in six-man football Thursday night.
Senior Alec Watchorn led the way for the Warriors, scoring four touchdowns on just four carries and finishing with 132 rushing yards. He also completed a 26-yard pass to close with 158 total yards of offense.
Junior Isaac Rohde added 85 yards rushing on three carries, scoring twice. Leyton finished with 339 yards of offense, including 278 on the ground. The Warriors found the end zone 11 times overall – eight rushing, two passing, and one on a fumble return.
For Creek Valley, senior Mason Timm paced the Storm with 158 rushing yards on 22 carries while completing 6-of-17 passes for 118 yards. He accounted for two of Creek Valley’s three touchdowns. Senior Alvin Russell added 96 rushing yards on 13 carries and caught four passes for 75 yards, finishing with 171 total yards.
The Storm totaled 387 yards of offense, with 263 rushing and 124 passing.
Leyton (5-0) will put its perfect record on the line against No. 1 Garden County (5-0) on Thursday at 7 p.m., with coverage on 98.7 The Big Boy. The Eagles defeated Potter-Dix Thursday, 87-8.
Creek Valley (2-3) travels to Big Springs to face South Platte (1-4) the same night.
