LINCOLN, Neb. - The No. 1 Nebraska volleyball team posted its 10th sweep in a row with a 25-17, 25-13, 25-17 victory over Northwestern in front of 8,516 fans at John Cook Arena at the Bob Devaney Sports Center on Friday night. 

In their annual Pink Match, the Huskers (19-0, 9-0 B1G) hit .357 and held Northwestern (13-8, 3-6 B1G) to .099. 

Nebraska improved its streak of consecutive sets won to 31, which tied the 2009 team for the longest streak since 2007 (53 sets in a row). 

Harper Murray had nine kills and eight digs, while Rebekah Allick and Teraya Sigler each had seven kills and hit .417. Andi Jackson pounded six kills and added five blocks, and Virginia Adriano and Manaia Ogbechie added five and four kills, respectively. 

Bergen Reilly notched 30 assists and moved within 10 assists of Lauren Cook (3,198) for fourth in school history in career assists in the rally-scoring era.

Laney Choboy had a match-high 10 digs. 

The Big Red led in kills (41-29), blocks (10-1), digs (28-27) and aces (6-2). 

Set 1: A 7-0 run served by Sigler put the Huskers in control. Sigler served an ace, Adriano had two kills, and Allick had a kill and two blocks - one with Murray - before a Murray kill made it 15-9. After Northwestern scored via a service error, Murray recorded a solo block and a kill around a block by Jackson and Adriano for a 20-10 lead. Reilly dumped two kills and the Huskers won 25-17 on a block by Allick and Adriano.  

Set 2: Jackson served a 4-0 run for a 10-6 lead. Jackson had a kill and an ace, and Sigler had a kill. Adriano, Murray and Allick added kills to get to 16-9. Jackson and Sigler pounded kills before a block by Reilly and Jackson increased the lead to 21-12, and Murray added a kill and ace down the stretch, and a Jackson kill and block with Murray ended the set, 25-13.   

Set 3: The Big Red took control early with a 7-3 lead via three kills by Ogbechie. Sigler recorded a kill and a block with Ogbechie, and Murray terminated for a 17-10 Husker lead. Sigler and Murray added two more kills to get to 20-13. Allick and Murray tacked on kills down the stretch, and an Adriano ace won the match, 25-17.

Huskers Shoot Past Lancers

Lincoln - Sophomores Amiah Hargrove and Britt Prince both recorded double-doubles to lead Nebraska to a 104-40 women's basketball exhibition win over Mount Marty on Friday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Hargrove, a 6-2 forward from Christopher, Ill., pumped in a game-high 26 points and pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds for the Big Red, while Prince pitched in 14 points and a game-high 10 assists.

Hargrove, who knocked down 6-of-8 three-pointers, was joined in a 20-point performance by senior guard Callin Hake, who finished with 22 points and also connected on 6-of-8 threes.

Hargrove and Hake led a Big Red barrage from beyond the arc that included 19-of-39 three-point shooting as a team. It was the most three-pointers that a Nebraska team has ever hit in a home game.

Sophomore Claire Johnson contributed 11 points on 3-of-8 threes while adding six assists, while fellow sophomore Petra Bozan put five Huskers in double figures with 11 points and eight rebounds.

The Huskers hit 39-of-79 shots (.494) from the field but just 7-of-12 free throws in the game. NU also outworked Mount Marty on the boards, 49-39, and won the turnover battle, 23-10. 

Nebraska held the Lancers to just 28.3 percent (17-60) shooting from the field, including just 2-of-17 from three-point range. Crofton, Nebraska native Lacey Sprakel led Mount Marty with 14 points and eight rebounds.

Nebraska hit 9-of-20 three-pointers in the first half while forcing 17 turnovers to sprint to a 55-17 halftime lead. Hake led Nebraska with 13 points on 3-of-4 first-half three-pointers to lead Nebraska with 10 points apiece. Hargrove added 10 points, five rebounds and three steals. 

Prince added 12 points and five assists, while Johnson contributed six points and a pair of assists in the opening half. Bozan also enjoyed a solid half with six points and six rebounds.

The Huskers outworked Mount Marty 22-13 on the glass in the first half, and won the turnover battle, 17-5. Nebraska hit 50 percent (21-42) of its shots from the floor and 4-of-6 free throws. The Huskers assisted on 15 of their 21 baskets.

Nebraska held Mount Marty to 7-of-20 shooting, including just 1-of-5 threes. Crofton High School grads Sprakel and Alexis Folkers led the Lancers with four points each in the first half.

Nebraska opens regular-season play against Northwestern State on Monday, Nov. 3. Tip-off between the Huskers and Lady Demons is set for Noon (CT), following the annual Sizemore Sportsmanship Pep Rally, which begins at 9:30 a.m. More than 80 schools from across Nebraska are registered to participate in the event, which will included nearly 4,000 middle grades students and accompanying adults.
