Tennessee man arrested following online enticement investigation
OMAHA, Neb. – A Tennessee man has been arrested following an online enticement investigation conducted by the Nebraska State Patrol, authorities said Friday.
Investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol Technical Crimes Unit, with assistance from the Bradley County Sheriff’s Department in Tennessee, arrested Dillon Summers, 54, of Cleveland, Tennessee. The arrest stems from an investigation that began earlier this year.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol, Summers contacted what he believed to be a 13-year-old girl through an online platform. The individual was actually an undercover Nebraska State Patrol investigator. During subsequent online conversations, authorities said Summers discussed sexual acts.
Investigators were able to identify Summers and determine his location in Bradley County, Tennessee. He was arrested Tuesday, Dec. 9, on charges of sexual assault by use of an electronic communication device and enticement by electronic communication device.
Homeland Security Investigations assisted with the investigation, and the Bradley County Sheriff’s Department assisted with the arrest. Summers was lodged in the Bradley County Jail.
The Nebraska State Patrol said the investigation remains ongoing. No additional information was released.
