GORDON, Neb. – Bridgeport captured the team championship, edging Chadron, at the Gordon-Rushville High School Girls Wrestling Tournament on Friday.

Bridgeport finished with 84.5 points, followed by Chadron with 81. Gordon-Rushville placed third with 64 points, while Bayard took fourth at 56. Morrill (43), South Platte (42) and Pine Ridge (40.5) rounded out the top seven teams.

Chadron claimed multiple individual titles. Meri Werner won the 100-pound title, Josey Werner took first at 105 and Bristol Prado captured the championship at 125. Gianna LaPorte added another title for the Cardinals at 135 pounds.

Bridgeport earned key wins across the middle and upper weights. Elizabeth Menke won the 120-pound title, Cammie Rader claimed first at 145 and Jayden Mueller placed third at 170 to help secure the team crown.

Host Gordon-Rushville was highlighted by Kirsten Heck’s championship at 155 pounds. Stormy Tesch added a third-place finish at 155.

Bayard earned two individual titles. Marissa Rein won the 115-pound bracket, and Zoleigh Reffalt claimed first at 235 pounds.

South Platte also crowned a champion, with Audrey Moorhead winning at 170 pounds.

Other champions included Louise Pond of Pine Ridge at 110, Gianna LaPorte of Chadron at 135, and Audrey Moorhead of South Platte at 170.

Cheyenne East wins team title at Charlie Lake Girls Wrestling Invite

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Cheyenne East claimed the team championship at the Charlie Lake Girls Wrestling Invite on Saturday at the Event Center at Archer, finishing with 190 points to edge Gering, which placed second with 177.

Green River took third with 144.5 points, followed by Alliance at 137.5 and Scottsbluff with 105.5. Central finished sixth at 100 points, while Burns/Pine Bluffs placed seventh with 97.

Gering produced multiple individual champions, including Rileigh Dane at 100 pounds, Rylee Luce at 110 and Autumn Hahn at 115. Hahn and teammate Eliana Goss finished first and second, respectively, in the 115-pound bracket.

Cheyenne East also earned several titles, led by Kailyah Bento at 105 pounds and Halley House at 145. Orianna Gonzalez added a runner-up finish at 100, while Gabriella Doughty placed third at 115.

Alliance was paced by Leena Garcia, who placed third at 100, Alexie Solis at 110 and Daycin Gibson at 120. Burns/Pine Bluffs earned a championship from Nichole Sumare at 155, while Jesselee Jackson finished second at 190.

Scottsbluff was highlighted by Aliyah Garcia-Ott’s runner-up finish at 170 and Valeria Arellano’s third-place showing at 130.

Green River’s Bianca Maez won the 130-pound title, while Adia Price captured first place at 190. Central collected individual titles from Zuri Saunders at 135 and Rachel Gertsch at 140.

The tournament featured 19 teams from across Nebraska, Wyoming and Colorado.

Sedgwick County/Fleming Wins Rudy Glur Invitational at Southern Valley

OXFORD, Neb. – Sedgwick County/Fleming captured the team championship at the Rudy Glur High School Invitational on Saturday at Southern Valley High School, finishing with 171 points to top a 17-team field.

Arapahoe placed second with 121 points, followed by Hitchcock County with 114 and Red Cloud/Blue Hill with 102. Loomis rounded out the top five at 100.5 points.

Sedgwick County/Fleming was led by three individual champions and multiple placers throughout the lineup. Nathan Gonzales claimed the 113-pound title with a fall over Atwood-Rawlins County’s Ian Anderson. Cooper Edson added a championship at 126 pounds, winning by technical fall over Loomis’ Clete Booe. Owen Harris secured first place at 157 pounds with a fall against Chase County’s Connor Einspahr.

The Cougars also picked up key points from several finalists and medalists. Cash Campbell finished runner-up at 132 pounds, Levi Reichman placed second at 175, and Austin Knox earned third place at 165. Kol Herskind added a fourth-place finish at 106.

Sedgwick County/Fleming’s depth across the middle and upper weights proved decisive, as the team scored in nearly every weight class to pull away from the field.

Atwood-Rawlins County and Southern Valley also produced individual champions, while Hitchcock County earned two titles to secure a third-place team finish.

Glenrock Wins Tiger Invitational Team Title in Lusk

LUSK, Wyo. – Glenrock claimed the team championship at the 2025 Tiger Invitational on Friday at Niobrara County High School, finishing with 187.5 points to pull away from the field.

Thunder Basin placed second with 111 points, followed by Upton with 83.5. Hemingford and Lingle-Ft. Laramie/Southeast tied for fourth with 80 points each. Wright (79.5), Sundance (68) and Saratoga (42) rounded out the top eight teams.

Glenrock secured the title behind multiple individual champions, including Brody Allen at 132 pounds, Wes Holman at 150, Preston Sorensen at 175, Joel Williams at 190 and Brady Calmes at 215. Ryan Ragsdale of Hemingford opened the finals with a title at 106, pinning Glenrock’s Nick Ticknor in the championship bout.

Hemingford added two more champions, with Andrew Miller winning at 126 and Owen Plog capturing the heavyweight title at 285. Josh Miller also placed third at 190, helping the Bobcats earn a share of fourth place in the team standings.

Upton crowned three champions, led by Kaiden Hill at 120, Landon Norman at 138 and Trey Schneider at 144. Wright earned individual titles from Tripp Isenberger at 157 and Reo Edwards at 165.

Banner County’s Tate Olsen finished third at 113. The Wildcats placed 12th overall. Host Niobrara County finished 13th, highlighted by Keen Coffman’s third-place finish at 175.

The tournament featured 14 teams from across Nebraska and Wyoming.
