SIDNEY, Neb. - A Bridgeport man is getting a head start on a “treat yourself” weekend after being named the grand prize winner of a $1,000 Shopping Spree presented by Sutton Home Gallery and 987 The Big Boy.

Nate Rahmig of Bridgeport was selected as the grand prize winner and will be chauffeured Saturday with a guest to participating local businesses to spend the $1,000 prize. Rahmig said he already has his Christmas shopping finished, leaving him unsure how he will use the free cash - other than enjoying the experience.

The shopping spree promotion also rewarded multiple finalists with prizes from local businesses across the Sidney area. Winners included Jan Ackerman from French Door Antique Mall, Roger Sauder from Sweet Ice, Marge Sabin from Sonny’s Super Foods, Sarah Humphreys from Wireless World and Colleen Frazier from Nexgen Outfitters.

Additional winners were Barb Johnston from Elston House, Clint Norman from Highby Outdoors, Johanna Griffith from Charlotte & Emerson Boutique, Tia Morelock from Western Drug and Rahmig, who was also the Sutton Home Gallery finalist.

The promotion is designed to support local businesses during the holiday season while giving listeners a chance to win prizes and experiences.
