SIDNEY -- The Sidney community started the new year with a new birth.

Sidney Regional Medical Center announced its first birth of 2026 occurred on New Year's Day. 

Leanna Layla Wooley-Kattes was born 6:08 p.m. Jan. 1, 2026 to Isabella Wooley.
