SCOTTSBLUFF -- Police reported that they had received three disturbance calls from the same neighborhood on April 6th.

Scottsbluff Police said that around 5:30 p.m., they responded to calls from 1206 10th Ave, where a man was reported be screaming along with throwing things into the street and neighbors' yards from his front steps, as well as around his yard.

Officers identified the man as 55-year-old Jimmy Jimenez, and reported that he began waving his hands wildly when he saw the patrol car. As Jimenez continued to yell and wave his arms, the officer reported parking and exiting his patrol vehicle slowly.

The Scottsbluff officer said that Jimenez then began walking towards the patrol car with a large, metal object in his hands.

Authorities said that Jimenez was still yelling and cursing, and he allegedly said that he would hit the police officer's vehicle.

The officer reportedly replied, "You do not want to do that."

Officials said that Jimenez then hit the rear window of the patrol car shattering the window and causing damage to the rear door.

According to Scottsbluff Police, Jimenez was then told to get on the ground where he as handcuffed and placed under arrest.

Officials said that a glass meth pipe with residue was found in his left pocket.

Jimenez was charged with possession of meth, disorderly conduct, and criminal mischief.
