Phyllis J. Carlson, 72, of Potter, Nebraska passed away March 3, 2025 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

Phyllis was born January 2, 1953 in Lusk, Wyoming to Guy Charles Brewer and Dorothy Larrayine Packard.

She married Dan Carlson July 1, 1977 in Torrington, Wyoming. They made their home north of Potter, Nebraska until they moved East of Potter, Nebraska in 2003.

Phyllis was known for working at Buffalo Ben Restaurant, Sandy’s Cafe, and The Potter Cafe before continuing her education and going to work for Western Nebraska Community College.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Potter, Nebraska.

She also spent many years volunteering as a Girl Scout Leader and on the Guiding Star Girl Scout Council.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Sylvester of Kansas City, Missouri, Stepdaughters: Roseann Rolph and husband Bill of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dinneen Pittam and husband Shad of Johnson Lake, Nebraska, Connie Heuck of Rock Springs, Wyoming, and Dawn Daniels and husband Lenny of Lodgepole, Nebraska, 13 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grand Children, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Dan, her parents, her sister, Wanda Mae Schmidt, brother, Keith Eldon Brewer, Stepson, Ron Heuck, Grandson, Raymond Heuck, and Granddaughter, Victoria Daniels.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 14, 2025 on the meadow of the Point of Rocks with a carry on potluck at 3 p.m.

Burial will be in Lusk, Wyoming at a later date.
