City of Scottsbluff approves funding balloon fest, gravel championship

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - The City of Scottsbluff approved funding for Old West Balloon Fest and for the USA National Gravel Championship.

On Monday, the City of Scottsbluff heard and took action on approving funding for the Old West Balloon Fest happening in August and the USA National Gravel Championship in September.

The council approved $20,000 for the Old West Balloon Fest and the funding will go to cover the costs of the pilots and getting special shaped balloons. The USA National Gravel Championship was approved for $10,000 and will go to help cover the costs of the event.
