SIDNEY -- Monday, March 10, the Kid's Korner unveiled its new look with a ribbon cutting courtesy of the Cheyenne County Chamber of Commerce.

'We are celebrating Kid's Korner's expansion, and the addition of our youth clubhouse called 'The Hangout," for older kids for after school, school out, summer program. We went from licensed capacity of 104 to 253, so, lots more room to fill the need of the community for child care spaces and then after school program," Tiffany Jones, Childcare Director.

She said Kid's Korner is taking reservations for the next school year. She said with The Hangout, the Community Center has changed it's philosophy, now serving children up to 13 years of age.

"We are pretty much the youth hub for, before, after school, all-day childcare, six weeks to 13 years. Kids are still able to come and just shoot hoops. But, our membership for The Clubhouse has access to the upstairs lounge area with TVs and board games and puzzles, a place to do their homework, a whole new art room, and then they can shoot hoops as well. The youth program kind of gives them more freedom, but yet it's supervised in a safe-secure building," she said.
