Two arrests made in connection with Winners burglary

SIDNEY -- Sidney Police recently announced the arrest of four people in connection with incidents in Sidney.

* On January 2, the Sidney Police reported that at about 2:40 a.m. an unknown person forced entry into the Winners Lounge and stole a black safe containing just under $18,197 in cash and coins. At 5:30 p.m. May 2, Michelle Doetke, 39, was taken into custody by the Sidney Police Department on a Cheyenne County Warrant for charges of 2 counts of Aiding and abetting a Class IIA Felony, Criminal trespass First Degree a Class I Misdemeanor and Criminal mischief $0 - $500 a Class III Misdemeanor. Matthew Cole, 34, was arrested on charges of Burglary, a Class IIA Felony; Theft more than $5,000 a Class IIA Felony; Criminal Trespass, 1st Degree a Class I Misdemeanor and Criminal Mischief a Class III Misdemeanor.

* The Sidney Police Department was dispatched to Haupt Storage to investigate a burglary on May 6. The reporting person stated that the lock to his storage unit had been cut and several items were now missing. Justin Kettle, 24, was arrested and charged with burglary a class IIA Felony. This case remains under investigation.

*Haven Hixon Barber, 28, was taken into custody by the Sidney Police Department on a Cheyenne County Arrest Warrant for charges of abuse of a vulnerable adult a Class IIIA Felony and theft by deception $1,500-$4,999, a Class IV Felony.

* At 7:43 a.m. May 2, the Sidney Police Department was dispatched to 2300 Jackson Street for a report of burglary. The reporting person stated that he walked into his residence and discovered his dryer being used by a neighbor who did not have permission to do so. Upon completion of the investigation, Cassandra Chalcraft, 41, was booked into the Cheyenne County jail on the charge of burglary a Class IIIA Felony.
