Oktoberfest committee announces parade winners
The 49th Sidney Oktoberfest parade offered fun and entertainment in the three-day event. The committee recently announced the winners in the parade entries.
By News Channel NebraskaSIDNEY -- The 49th Sidney Oktoberfest parade included bagpipers, bands and an assortment of other entries.
On October 12, the parade winners were announced:
Adult organizations: 1) Class of ‘83, 2) Jim Shilling – Jeep, 3) Suicide Awareness.
Youth organizations: 1) SHS Danz, 2) FFA/4-H, 3) Job’s Daughters.
Novelty: 1) Weiner Dog, 2) 1969 Oldsmobile Keith N., 3) Kent Ewings car.
Business: 1) Adams Industries, 2) SRMC/Just For Kix, 3) PVC
The committee thanked the parade judges: John and Dawn Lessman; and Rich, Karen and Lauren Colins. Gratitude also went to Cindy and Tom Birner, John and Dawn Lessman and David Chaon for use of ATVs.
