The Kimball City Council will hold its regular meeting Tuesday, October 17th. The meeting will be at 5:00 pm in the city council chambers and is open to the public.

The council will receive reports from the mayor, council members, city administrator and police chief in the meeting with street superintendent Jim Shoup joining the meeting to discuss snow removal routes and a request to NDOT to conduct a traffic study on highway 30 on the eastern end of town.

A Gotte Park playground proposal and update on the Chestnut St Road Safety Assessment will be heard during the meeting as well.

Two capital expenditures have made their way onto the docket for this meeting. The council will discuss the purchase of and uses for a 2021 Dodge Charger Police Pursuit, the Dodge Charger specially equipped for law enforcement use. They will also discuss the purchase of a mini-excavator. Both the streets dept and parks dept have shown interest in an excavator to cut down on project times and contract labor.
