The Food Drive will be held February 1-14. Collection boxes will be place at the north and south entries.

Karmen Hammond of Security First Bank

"This is our fifth year. The bank as a whole, I believe, decided that we have a lot of non-profit organizations that do collect food, and some of our food pantries have been hit up pretty hard. So, we just put boxes out in our entryway and collect non-perishable food items," Hammond said.

She said the bank and its customers have supported most of the food banks in Sidney.

"We have, in the past years, given to Salvation Army, we have given to St. Pat's, we've given to Table of Grace before. We also given them a $500 check, along with the food," she said.

The food drive starts when the bank opens February 1 and runs through February 14.

"It runs from February 1st to February 14. We will have our boxes out in the entry way at both sides of the building," she said.

The bank lobby is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. However, the collection boxes will be between the building entry and the lobby entry and will be available until 5 p.m.

Also, this year, Security First Bank is collecting for Congregate Meals. Hammond said collected funds will help senior pay for their Congregate Meals.
