SIDNEY -- Joseph Adewunmi Osunlana, 23, of Woodbury, Minn., was arrested Sunday, September 22, following an incident at the McDonald's restaurant in Sidney.

Authorities were dispatched to the restaurant at 5:18 p.m. regarding a report of a robbery in progress. Officers responded to a report of a black man wearing an orange sweater in the business stating something to the effect of "we won, we won and you're going to give me the money," according to the arrest affidavit.

Authorities entered the business from the south. In the lobby, officers identified a man wearing an orange hoodie and gray shorts as Joseph Adewunmi Osunlana by contacts with him earlier in the day.

Osunlana was ordered to get on the floor, cross his ankles and put his hands behind his back. He was held at gunpoint until the arrival of a Cheyenne County Sheriff's deputy.  He was read his Miranda Rights and asked why he was demanding money from the staff.

According to the affidavit, he gestured toward a graphic on the wall of a McDonald's game.

Osunlana was taken into custody on a charge of Disturbing the Peace and transported to the Cheyenne County Jail.

Disturbing the Peace is a Class III Misdemeanor with a maximum sentence of three months in prison, $500 fine or both, according to Cheyenne County Attorney Paul Schaub.
