Vandals damage popular Bridgeport recreation area

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - A new fence at the Bridgeport State Recreation Area was vandalized sometime Saturday evening, the Morrill County Sheriff’s Office said.

The fence was one of the recent improvements made to the area in an effort to turn the nearby state lake into a designated swimming spot for the public and children.

Law enforcement is now searching for whomever was responsible for the damage. The Morrill County Sheriff’s Office urges the public to reach out with any information they may have. To contact the Sheriff’s Office, call (308) 262-0408.
